Terms of Service & Liability Waiver

These Terms of Service, Studio Rules and Liability Waiver (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Meet Beads LA (MeetBeads LA 觅豆), located at 10501 Valley Blvd, Floor 3, El Monte, CA 91731 (“Meet Beads,” “we,” “us” or “our”). PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. SECTIONS 6 THROUGH 8 CONTAIN AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK, A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AN INDEMNITY THAT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By making a booking, entering our studio, participating in any activity, or using meetbeads.com or our related services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you make a booking for, or bring, other guests, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf and that you have informed them of these Terms. If you are a parent or legal guardian and a minor participates, you accept these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the minor. If you do not agree, do not book or use the Services.

2. Bookings, arrival times and session times

Each booking has a booked arrival time. Every session, whether all-day, night or hourly, starts at the booked arrival time. Please arrive on time. Your booking confirmation shows your play session window (for example, a 3:00 pm all-day arrival on a weekday runs 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm; a 6:00 pm night play arrival runs 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm).
All-day and night sessions end at the end time posted for that date. Hourly sessions run for the number of hours booked, counted from the booked arrival time. Late arrival does not extend the session end time, and the full price for the booked session still applies.
Prices shown online are estimates based on the information provided. The final amount is determined and paid at the studio, including any applicable taxes, discounts or member benefits. Promotions and coupons are subject to their own terms.
You may change or cancel a booking through the link in your confirmation or by contacting us. Please cancel as early as possible so others may use the spot. We may decline future bookings from guests with repeated no-shows.
We may need to modify or cancel a booking due to closures, safety concerns, equipment failure, emergencies or other circumstances. In that case our sole obligation is to offer to reschedule or to refund any amount you prepaid for the affected booking.
You agree to provide accurate contact information and to keep your booking management link private.

3. Children and supervision

Guests under 14 years of age must be accompanied and actively supervised at all times by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult (18 or older) authorized by the parent or guardian. The supervising adult must remain in the studio for the entire visit. Our staff do not provide childcare or supervision.
The supervising adult is solely responsible for the child’s safety, conduct and compliance with these Terms and staff instructions, and for any damage the child causes.
Children under 3 years of age may not handle beads or small parts. Children who tend to put objects in their mouths must not handle beads.
Guests aged 14 to 17 may participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
We may refuse or end participation by any minor who is not properly supervised.

4. Craft materials — not toys

The beads, pegboards, ironing paper, tools, finishing materials and all other supplies used in our studio, and any items created with them, are general-use craft and hobby materials and decorative items intended for use by or under the supervision of adults. They are not toys, and they are not designed, intended, marketed or sold as toys or as children’s products intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger within the meaning of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act or related regulations.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — SMALL PARTS. Not for children under 3 years. Beads must never be placed in the mouth, nose or ears.
Finished creations are decorative keepsakes only. They are not toys, not food-safe, not heat-resistant, and should be kept away from young children, pets, open flames and high heat. We make no representation that finished creations are suitable for any particular use.
Any items you take home are used at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties regarding materials and finished creations, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Ironing results, drinks and food

Bead fusing (ironing) is a handmade process, and we cannot guarantee that ironed pieces will be 100% flawless. Results may include uneven melting, warping, color change, holes or loose beads, and these are not grounds for a refund. Guests who want full control over the result may choose to iron their own pieces.
Free drinking water is provided in the studio.
If you would like to eat food with a strong smell, please do so in the building’s public area.

6. Assumption of risk

You understand that bead crafting and the activities in our studio involve inherent risks that cannot be fully eliminated, including but not limited to: burns from irons, heat tools, heated surfaces and melted beads; choking, ingestion or inhalation of small beads; eye injuries; cuts or punctures from tools; slips, trips and falls on loose beads; allergic or skin reactions; exposure to odors or fumes from heated plastic; and injuries caused by other guests. You agree to follow all posted rules and staff instructions, to use heat tools only in designated areas and as instructed, to inspect your work area, and to report any hazard or injury to staff immediately. You voluntarily choose to participate and knowingly assume all of these risks for yourself and for any minor in your care, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Release and waiver of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you, on behalf of yourself, any minor in your care, and your and their heirs, representatives and assigns, release, waive, discharge and agree not to sue Meet Beads and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents and landlord (the “Released Parties”) for any and all claims, losses, damages, injuries (including bodily injury or death) and property loss arising out of or related to your or the minor’s visit, participation or use of the Services, including claims based on the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties.

This release does not apply to claims arising from the gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud or violation of law of a Released Party, or to any other liability that cannot be released under California law (including California Civil Code § 1668).

8. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your or any minor in your care’s breach of these Terms, violation of law, failure to supervise, or intentional or negligent conduct, including claims brought by a minor in your care or by other guests.

9. Studio rules

No smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes or cannabis of any kind anywhere in the studio or building.
No alcohol or illegal drugs, and no entry while intoxicated or under the influence.
No weapons.
Treat staff and other guests with respect. Harassment, threats, abusive language, disruptive behavior and unsafe conduct are not permitted.
Use studio equipment and materials only as intended and as instructed by staff. Do not remove studio tools or supplies unless they are included in your purchase.
Guests and their supervising adults are responsible for intentional, reckless or negligent damage to studio property.
Please do not visit if you have a contagious illness. Tell staff about any allergy or condition we should know about.
Follow any additional posted rules and staff instructions.

10. Right to refuse service

We reserve the right to refuse service, decline or cancel any booking, end any session, or ask any person to leave the studio at our discretion for any lawful reason, including safety, conduct, violation of these Terms or studio rules, suspected fraud, capacity or operational needs. A guest removed for violating these Terms is not entitled to a refund. We never refuse service on the basis of any characteristic protected by law, including under the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

11. Personal property, artwork and storage

You are responsible for your personal belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.
Artwork stored with us is kept for the storage period shown in your storage record. Items not collected by the end of the storage period, after notice to the contact information you provided, may be discarded or donated. Items left behind without a storage record may be discarded after a reasonable time.
We take reasonable care of stored artwork, but we are not responsible for damage from normal handling, heat, breakage or events beyond our control.

12. Photos and media

We may take photos or videos of the studio and of guest artwork for operations and promotion. We will not use an identifiable image of you or your child in advertising without your consent. Please tell staff if you do not wish to appear in any photo or video. If you upload photos through our Services, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a limited license to store and display them to provide the Services.

13. Use of our website

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by submitting false bookings, using automated tools to make bookings or collect data, interfering with security features, or attempting to access other customers’ information. All content on meetbeads.com, including text, images, logos and designs, belongs to Meet Beads or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services, materials and website are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the booking giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at info@meetbeads.com with a description of the issue and to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court where eligible.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest of these Terms will remain in full effect. In particular, if any part of the release in Section 7 is held unenforceable, the remainder of the release still applies.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any posted studio rules, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your booking or visit applies. Material changes will be shown by the “Last updated” date above.
These Terms are published in English. Any translation provided by staff or elsewhere is for convenience only, and the English version controls.
